I’d die young in every life,
If death was kinder than life
Plant flowers on my grave,
To remind the world that I was here
Even though I’m not afraid to die,
I’m afraid of being forgotten
Allow my name to leave your lips,
And my words to cross your mind
Even though I’m a quiet man,
I’m a soul with so much to tell
Most people don’t see that,
But I can’t hold it against them
I’m a complex creature,
A longing for peace
But also a longing for more,
In truth, I don’t know what I want
If this is it and nothing more,
I hope death treats me kinder
And to understand I’m a deep soul,
longing to be known
I am a young man,
Just entered the world
I still do mourn,
The boy who loved his words
Careful each morning,
Trying to find my balance
The worry came with no warning,
It all came in silence
I am an adult now,
But I’m not sure on who I am
Everyday is the question of how,
I don’t want to be the lam
